Art and primeval landscape in Japan

Benesse Art Site Naoshima

Benesse Art Site Naoshima is the collective name for art‐related activities conducted by Benesse Holdings and Fukutake Foundation on the islands of Naoshima, Teshima and Inujima.

The fundamental aim is to create significant space by bringing contemporary art and architecture in the nature of the Seto Inland Sea, also to develop there as a cultural and educational area where

children all over the world could gather. In order to make a positive contribution to the

local communities, they are committed to foster a relationship of mutual growth between art

and the region.

For the video to introduce "Benesse Art Site Naoshima", Unosawa designed the DVD with a beautiful scenery postcard of Naoshima.

The museums were designed by a renowned Japanese architect, Tadao Ando. The collection includes works by Yayoi Kusama, Hiroshi Sugimoto, James Turrell, Rei Naito, Shinro Ohtake, etc.
